Okay, no I've not been on holiday, and yes I have played games:
God Hand - what a superb game this is! It's essentially a Streets Of Rage-style brawler but in 3D. Silly sense of humour, daft plot involving some fella who has a special arm. Graphics are a bit ropey but the deep, involving gameplay more than makes up for it. It's one of those games where, when you fail, you know you can do better next time.
It was the last game from developer Clover Studio who also did Okami amongst other things. It's a shame they had to go.
Borderlands - still a superb game but I was flagging. I'd recommend people play it in co-op as the single-player is a bit ofa grind after a while.

Sad that you didn't get on with Borderlands, I personally found it really good fun even in single player, but then I do with most other multiplayer games - simply because most people don't want or can't play things as often as I'd like to.
ReplyDeleteNice to know that you're enjoying God Hand; it's full of great little touches from the quick dodges to the roulette wheel to the level-up mechanics... it's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteMind you, Clover's not disappeared completely, having taken new form under the guise of PlatinumGames, and their forthcoming title Bayonetta looks like it will provide a mix of brawling and stylish counters similar to God Hand and Viewtiful Joe. Having played the hell out of the demo, I'm really looking forward to it.
